Junior Girls with Riding is a program for girls ages 8-12 who are attending 2-week and 1-week Junior Village session, and is suitable for all riding skill levels, from beginners to intermediate! Girls in this program split their days between 1/2 day riding and 1/2 day of elective activities which they select themselves in the traditional camp program. Click here to see the list of elective activities. Girls live in age-appropriate cabins in the Junior Girls Village, with a counselor-to-camper ration of1 staff for every 4 girls! Campers are placed in riding classes by skill level.
Horses, Horses, Horses!
Jr. Girls with Riding has their own "herd", and each girl is matched with her own horse or pony for the session! Horses and ponies are matched with campers based on riding ability, and riding classes are assigned by levels which are appropriate for each girl.
Other Choices for Horseback Riding at Camp Friendship
Recreational Riding is a beginner hunt-seat English riding program which is selected as one of the elective activities for campers enrolled in Junior or Senior Village programs. Recreational Riding is one hour per day, and is designed for the campers ages 7-16, and may be added to any Jr Village or Sr Village session.
Equestrian Camp is for girls ages 10-16 who are looking for an intensive hunt-seat English riding program. It is suited for girls with a strong love of horses who have riding skills at the beginner level or higher.
