POLICIES AND WAIVERS
DEPOSIT:
Prior to May 15: A deposit of $250 per week is required at time of registration and is included as part of total payment.
After May 15: All registrations received after June 1st are to be paid in full at the time of registration.
REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY:
Until March 31st: Deposit, and any payments made, less a $50 cancellation fee, are refundable.
After March 31st: Deposit is non-refundable, All other payments made, less a $50 cancellation fee, are refundable.
After May 15: There will be no refunds for cancellations or no shows.
- Challenge Trips: If due to insufficient registration, a Challenge Trip is cancelled, an alternative trip will be offered if/when available, or a full refund will be made.
- There will be no refunds made for a camper leaving camp during any camp session, including for reasons of homesickness, except with the written verification of a physician of an injury or physical illness.
- Any camper found possessing or using alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or weapons will be dismissed with no refund of fees.
- A camper who exhibits emotional, psychological or behavioral conditions that are disruptive to the camp program or that are harmful to himself or the well being of other campers or staff will be dismissed with no refund of fees.
- I understand there will be a $30 fee for all returned checks.
CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION:
Camp Friendship does strive to provide positive camp experiences for children with various needs whenever possible. However, Camp Friendship does not provide programs that aare rehabilitative or therapeutic in nature, and does not specialize in serving children with special needs, including children with sever emotional, social, or behavioral difficulties. We appreciate the opportunity to work with you in order to determine if the Camp Friendship experience is approprieate to meet the needs of your child. Please provide information regarding your child's special needs including any disabilities, disorders or medical problems prior to attending camp. Your honest disclosure of information about your child is important in determining if Camp Friendship is a fit for your child. To communicate this information directly to the Camp Director's confidential email please contact confidential@campfriendship.com (failure to provide accurate information prior to your child attending camp may result in a camper being moved to a different program or sent home, and there will be no refund in this case.)
WAIVER:
As a parent or guardian of a camper, understand that Camp Friendship takes reasonable precautions to insure that programs and activities at Camp Friendship are conducted by qualified personnel in a safe and responsible manner. However, in consideration of my child’s participation in activities, including but not limited to horseback riding, gymnastics, ropes course, swimming, water sports, land sports, archery, riflery, rafting, canoeing, hang gliding, rock climbing, bicycling, mountain boarding or hiking, I acknowledge that there are risks inherent in any activity such as, but not limited to, the injury or death of a participant, the inability to predict a horse’s reaction to sound, movements, objects or animals, hazards of surface/subsurface conditions whether known or unknown, weather conditions, the experience level of a participant, a known or unknown health condition of a participant, or the condition/manufacture of any equipment. I assume all of the foregoing risks, and any other risks of recreational activities, by allowing my child to attend Camp Friendship.
I further assume all risk of, and hold harmless and do hereby release, discharge and agree to indemnify Camp Friendship, its directors, officers, agents and employees from all liability for loss, damage, injury or illness to the camper or his/her property relating to or deriving from his/her presence, including equine activities, at Camp Friendship and/or participation in/ travel to/from Camp Friendship by whatever cause, including any act or omission, negligent or otherwise, on the part of Camp Friendship staff.
I understand that programs, and/or the destinations/locations of Challenge trips, as advertised/promoted, may vary due to weather conditions, camper’s needs, the health/safety precautions that directly affect a particular program/activity, or other unforeseen conditions. I also understand that Camp Friendship reserves the right to transfer a camper from one program to another at any time.
I, as a camper, individually, or as a parent or guardian of a camper, individually and on behalf of the camper, hereby grant permission for Camp Friendship, the American Camping Association or photographer to use any photographs/ video/ voice/testimonials of the camper taken during the camping session in newspapers, magazines, brochures, web sites, or other media for promotional purposes.
I have read and understand the contents of this registration form, including the Refund and Cancellation Policy, Payment Policy, and waiver.
